- Disability Information Unit Greater Glasgow (DIGG)
Disability Information for Greater Glasgow (DIGG) aims to provide people who have a disability with the information they need to have control over their lives and to live life to the full. This new Project, funded by Greater Glasgow NHS Board and The Big Lottery Fund, has set up an information and support network for patients, mainly those with neurological and sensory conditions, within the Greater Glasgow area. - Momentum

The Contact a Family directory page is part of the main Contact a Family site. This organisation is a UK charity which helps families who care for children with a disability or special need. It provides information about rare disorders and is able to assist affected adults as well as children. The page describes the directory which contains details of hundreds of disorders and conditions. The directory is not available on the site but can be purchased in paperback or on CD-ROM from the organisation's online bookshop. - Disability Alliance
Disability Alliance was set up in 1974. Our principal aim is to improve the living standards of disabled people by breaking the link between poverty and disability. This is an access information service for disabled people which now covers a number of areas in the UK including Glasgow. Users can check out how accessible Glasgow's shops, pubs and other premises really are. The aim of the site is to enable disabled people (along with friends, family and carers) to participate more fully in community life by providing free detailed access information. DisabledGo access guides provide detailed and accurate data for people with hearing, vision or mobility impairments about access in each town and city featured. The Institute's purpose is to promote the opportunities of persons with disabilities to gain more personal and political power, self-determination, full participation and equality through information, training materials, consultancy and technical assistance. The Institute works in cooperation with other organizations which support these aims at the local, national and international level, including self-help groups in developing countries.
