Glasgow Association for Mental Health is a voluntary organisation which is concerned with the health, social welfare, and the attainment of social justice, for people with mental health problems and their carers who live in the Glasgow area. The Association provides high quality care and support services to adults with mental health problems and their carers; promotes understanding of mental health and mental illness; and enables users of services and their carers to have a voice in the wider community. Some of the services offered by the association include home support and day services, befriending services, housing related services, information, advice and advocacy, and clubhouses. These services form a network across the city and contact details are provided for all of them. - Positive mental attitudes
Positive mental attitudes promotes a programme of anti stigma initiatives which aim to challenge and raise awareness of mental ill health and attitudes towards mental ill health. Breathing Space has been set up due to serious concerns about the well-being of young people in Scotland today. It is supported by an advertising campaign to make people aware of the phone-line. The 'see me' campaign was launched in October 2002 to challenge stigma and discrimination around mental ill-health in Scotland. The campaign is run by an alliance of five Scottish mental health organisations: Highland Users Group (HUG); National Schizophrenia Fellowship (Scotland); Penumbra; the Royal College of Psychiatrists (Scottish Division) and the Scottish Association for Mental Health. This is the website of Eating Disorders Association (EDA) where you can find information and help on all aspects of eating disorders including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge Eating Disorder and related eating disorders. EDA operates a UK wide telephone Helpline for people with an eating disorder, their family, friends, and professionals, along with a Youthline that offers information, help and support for young people aged 18 years and under. The Mental Welfare Commission for Scotland is an independent organisation set up by Parliament with the responsibility of protecting the welfare of people with mental disorder (including learning disabilities and dementia) in Scotland. The Commission has a duty to anyone with a mental disorder whether they are in hospital, in local authority, voluntary run or private accommodation or in their own homes. - OCD Action

Active in England and Wales, SANE works to “improve the lives of people affected by mental health problems”.
